Suttles Flooring, Middle Georgia's oldest family owned flooring company, was established more than sixty years ago by Furman and Margaret Suttles. Although Furman was skilled in installing various flooring materials, his passion was carpet installation. He and his team of installers were leaders in the industry, providing custom installation services for Sears, local hotels, hospitals, and countless homes in Macon and surrounding areas. Margaret ran the business end of things and assisted in the showroom while raising their two children, Kathy and Todd. Margaret and Furman instilled the principles of hard work, integrity, and taking care of people in their children.

Today, under the leadership of Todd, Suttles Flooring is still passionately committed to leading our team and serving our clients with the same guiding principles. Kathy works behind the scenes with various responsibilities to keep our team members organized and ensuring the day to day tasks are completed.

In July, 2014, Todd's wife, Julie, joined the Suttles Flooring team. Julie is the office and sales manager. Together, Todd and Julie are committed to providing you with more sustainable and eco-friendly products that offer the most beautiful and innovative flooring materials and ensure that clients have the best, and least stressful experience possible. "My dad's focus was always the carpet side of the flooring business. I was here every summer working on carpet trucks, installing carpet all over middle Georgia. In the early 1980's we saw the trend in flooring moving back to the hardwood. My dad had some old machines that we reworked and I began learning from some of the older employees how to sand and refinish hardwood floors. I loved it and began moving our company away from the carpet. I think it is so important to love what you do for a career. In a small business, you'd better love it because many hours of your life will be dedicated to it."
